Aunt Clara ist fertig

Endlich ist es geschafft, Aunt Clara ist fertig, mit der Hand genäht, handgequiltet und mit Binding versehen, sogar probe-gekuschelt wurde schon damit *schmunzel*

Ich bin direkt ein bißchen stolz drauf, er ist wie eines meiner Kinder ….

Die Fotos sind leider nicht so toll geworden, vielleicht sollte ich anstatt zu nähen doch mal einen Fotokurs machen …..

Finally finished – Aunt Clara is hand sewn and hand quiltet and I’m a little bit proud of it, it’s like one of my babys *lol*

Baby Jane

Zwischendurch sind drei einfache Blöckchen vom Baby Jane entstanden, die kann man abends so schön auf dem Sofa nähen.

Meine Aunt Clara ist inzwischen fertig gequiltet, jetzt fehlt nur noch das Binding, das wird aber das einzige sein, dass ich zumindest auf der Vorderseite mit der Maschine annähe, hinten natürlich mit der Hand, ist ja Ehrensache, und außerdem schaut’s schöner aus …

                   

Three more blocks of my Baby Jane are done, it’s so nice to sew them in the evenings on the sofa …

My Aunt Clara Quilt is already quilted, only the binding is missing, so watch out in a few days for the finished quilt.

Eins, zwei, drei ….

…. im Sauseschritt, hab ich auch noch schnell den dritten Block des Civil War BOW’s genäht, damit ich auf dem laufenden bin, morgen gibts schon wieder einen neuen ….

ich habe mich an Roswitha’s Tip gehalten und ihn reverse appliziert, die Spitzen sind – na ja – etwas außergewöhnlich geworden, um es mal dezent so auszudrücken *gg*

I had to hurry to sew the third block of the Civil War BOW, tomorrow, the new one is available, so I’m ready.

I made it with reverse applique, and the stars are a little bit wonky …..

Roswitha ist schuld, sie hat mich angestiftet, noch eine Baustelle zu eröffnen und den Civil-War-BOW von Barbara Brackman mitzunähen ….

Und weil ich mich in so einem Fall sowieso nie lange bitten lasse, und schon seit einiger Zeit Replica-Stoffe sammle  …. musste es kommen, wie es kam, und ich habe den ersten Block genäht.

My first block of the Civil-War-BOW from Barbara Brackman is done ….. thank’s god the BOW had just began, so there are only two more to do at the moment …. and thank’s god I have so many Replica-Fabrics in stock, don’t have to buy any fabrics …. I’m not sure if this is good *lol*

Lieselsampler bei den Sofaquiltern

Bei den Sofaquiltern gibt es im Jahr 2011 einen Liesel-Sampler, entworfen von Antje. Natürlich konnte ich da nicht widerstehen (wie so oft …. aber wer kennt das nicht) und mach selbstverständlich auch mit.

Mein erstes Blöckchen für Januar ist jetzt fertig geworden, ich nähe mit Stoffen aus einer Jelly Roll in Grün , Türkis, Blau, Lila, und Ocker und bin schon total gespannt auf das Endergebnis

This is my fist block for January, my fabrics are from a Jelly Roll in Green, Turquois, Blue, Lila and Tan and I’m really curious how it looks like in the end …..
