Ein paar neue ….

Baby Jane Blöckchen  sind zwischendurch auch noch entstanden ….

I’ve made a few more blocks for my Baby Jane ….

Der Urlaub ist zu Ende …..

…. und der Alltag hat mich wieder.

Komischerweise komm ich trotz Arbeit mehr zum nähen, als in den Ferien, aber ganz faul war ich natürlich nicht, ein bißchen was ist auch in den letzten Wochen entstanden ….

Zuerst mal  ein kleiner Basket-Quilt, inspiriert hat mich dazu ein ziemlich großer Quilt im Buch “When the cold Wind blows”, ein wunderschönes Buch mit tollen Appli-Quilts

 

hier zeig ich euch noch das Binding, das diesmal als Probe komplett mit der Maschine angenäht wurde, obwohl die Applikationen alle mit der Hand gemacht wurden.

Ich hab das “Faux piped binding” ausprobiert, und es hat wunderbar geklappt, sogar die Ecken hab ich problemlos hingekriegt. Lasst euch nicht von den weißen Quiltlinien stören, der Quilt war zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch  nicht gewaschen …..

My holidays are finished and I have not really much done in the last few weeks, only a few things sewn …..

first at all a litte Basket quilt, inspired by a large quilt from the book “When the cold wind blows”, a very beautiful applique book.

The last photo shows the binding, which is the “faux piped binding”, completeley sewn with machine, although the quilt is appliqued and quiltet by hand . I just wanted to try it, and it worked wonderful, even the corners went fine.

Dann hab ich natürlich noch ein paar Blöckchen meines Baby Janes gemacht, es sind jetzt komplett sechs Reihen fertig, fünf davon hab ich auch schon zusammengenäht, schaut gut aus, muss mich mal selber loben *gg*

 

I also made a few more blocks of my Baby Jane, I’ve now finished six rows, five of them already sewn together ….. looks really good, have to compliment myself *gg*

Und zum Abschluß noch der dritte Block von Antje’s Liesel-Sampler bei den Sofa-Quiltern, der vierte ist in Arbeit, obwohl es in der Zwischenzeit schon 6 Stück gibt, aber die letzten beiden kommen auch noch dran
